Step 1. First make sure that all your system packages are up-to-date by running these following apt-get commands in the terminal.

Minecraft server setup requires Java to be installed on your system. To do this, follow these steps:
First, create a new user for Minecraft to run as:

Get screen up and running, so that the server can run in the background:
